St. John Rehabilitation Hospital to Hold Community Grand Opening Celebration
TULSA, Okla. – A community grand opening celebration for St. John Rehabilitation Hospital, affiliated with HealthSouth, will be held Thursday, July 13 from 4-6 p.m. at 1200 West Albany Drive in Broken Arrow. The event will include hospital tours, a ribbon cutting ceremony and a brief program with remarks provided by David Nicholas, CEO of St. John Rehabilitation Hospital; Jeffrey Nowlin, president and chief operating officer of St. John Medical Center; Mayor Craig Thurmond, City of Broken Arrow; former patient Dr. John Minielly; and Mark Tarr, president and CEO of HealthSouth Corporation.

The freestanding inpatient rehabilitation hospital includes 40 private patient rooms featuring two isolation rooms, two bariatric rooms and six rooms equipped for patients needing dialysis treatments during their stay. Also included in the 49,000-square-foot hospital, is a spacious therapy gym, outdoor courtyard, dining room and dayroom areas. The hospital serves patients overcoming a variety of debilitating illnesses and injuries including stroke and other neurological disorders, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, amputations, hip fractures and complex orthopedic conditions.
St. John Rehabilitation Hospital, which is currently located on the campus of St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, will begin seeing patients on Aug. 1 at the new location.
